Year End (Part 2)
One more term of art class has gone by and so many things will change. I don’t know if I could ever see my little friends again. It’s quite interesting how this job is. I get to know someone and be friend with them, be happy together for a few hours, normally I could expect it to mean that I’ve made me a new friend, but no, it doesn’t work that way. A kid may fly back to their homeland, or to another city, another country tomorrow. Maybe their schedule would be too busy with

Creating Worlds
We spent the last few weeks in art class painting, building worlds and creating characters. Apple World is made of mostly red apples but no one gets eaten. Apples don’t eat each other, duh. In Monster World, there is a river of skulls but everyone seems to be having a good time. As for Fun World, everyone is everything and they’re all on holiday. Bugs World has a princess ant and a princess bee and sometimes they hang out. The very resourceful proletariat has built slides out

Merry Craftsmas!
For our final Art and Craft class of the year we created our own Christmas stockings! We started by drawing our ideas on paper, thinking about which shapes we could use to form our designs. We then used felt to recreate these ideas in 3D and then attached them to our Christmas stockings with glue. After adding a few jingly bells, our stockings were finished and ready for a visit from Santa! Lớp học Thủ Công Và Mỹ Thuật cuối năm của chúng tôi cùng nhau tạo ra những đôi vớ Gián

Year End (Part 1)
I love it, the feeling of being a teacher in a studio. It feels like being the host of a show on-air weekly with friends passing by for a few hours to talk and have fun, play together and be free together. Every student feels like a friend to me. Some of them I could expect to come every week to 'continue on the show' and I’m always excited to see them, and can't wait to show them new cool thing that I’ve found out or have experienced since last seeing them. Some kids would c

Get Messy with Mono-print!
Field trips are always exciting, especially when we get a request for a great big group of kids who are looking to learn about my favourite medium - print-making! We had the joy of having 40 keen print-makers into the studio last week to explore mono-printing and the history of propaganda art. We got super messy and produced an unbelievable amount of prints, with each child taking home their very own series of artworks. We looked into positive, negative and collage layering t

Have a Merry!
Well folks, it nears on middle December now. As we flip through the calendar season, it's amazing to see the change in the city around us. Wreaths and Christmas trees, baubles and tinsel, the holidays have almost arrived! Being a new arrival to the Vinspace Studio team, I have had the delight of watching and taking part in so many different Christmas decorations. Although the festive projects are varied, each time the excitement in the classroom is the same. The anticipation
